The Property
The property features four cabinas, a spacious yoga platform, and large swimming pool nestled within tropical gardens. Enjoy outdoor living with our covered kitchen, poolside bar and communal dining table. Explore the gardens where the hummingbirds and butterflies spend the days pollinating or wander to the river for incredible sunset views. Evenings bring stargazing or calming rains. While situated in a quiet residential neighborhood, the main street is reachable in a short walk.

Uvita
Uvita is a small town that has a lot going on. Catering to a mix of Tico families, ex-pats and sustainable tourism, the town offers many restaurants, shops, and lots of excursion opportunities. Marine activities are varied including epic diving, surfing, and whale watching as the area is home to dolphins and Humpback Whales. To the east, there are many waterfalls bringing refreshing water off the mountains, perfect for an afternoon adventure.

Beaches
Within minutes of our property are a half dozen beaches, the closest of which is Playa Ballena, the famous Whale’s Tail beach where Humpback Whales mate in the late summer. To the north, Playas Hermosa, Dominicalito and Dominical are all surfer hotspots and fun places to swim and watch the waves. To the south, Playa Arco was recently named one of Trip Advisor’s best secret beaches and Playa Tortuga is home to the Olive Ridley Sea Turtles.
Savor delicious cuisine!
Our retreat center offers you and your guests a variety of meal options, ranging from traditional Tico fare to Western-style gourmet meals provided by private chefs. We go above and beyond to meet your dietary preferences including special diets and food allergies. We are equipped to customize the menu when we have advanced notice. Our meals are prepared with love and healthy local ingredients. There are a number of excellent restaurants in the area as well, allowing you the ability to create a unique Uvita dining experience.
Accomodations
Contatto’s retreat center has four two bed one bath cabinas, comfortably housing 12-16 people. In each cabina, one bedroom has a set of bunk beds, while the other has a queen bed, allowing for three to four people to share. The cabinas feature locally crafted furniture, artisanal Moroccan rugs, and other unique touches from our travels. All linens and towels are all 100% cotton and many blankets are handmade from Aloe silk. Three of the cabinas are equipped with kitchenettes (fridge, stove and kettle), while the fourth has a larger, covered outdoor kitchen with more extensive appliances.
Beyond our large outdoor classroom, we offer many resources to elevate your retreat. With 8 massage tables and 4 massage chairs, our space is a massage instructor's dream. Additionally we have yoga mats, a projector, whiteboards, craft supplies, a wellness reference library, and other teaching aids. The high ceilings and strong beams allow for aerial classes. Contatto’s retreat center is organized to make your event flow with ease.

Payments and Cancellation Policy
A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking. We require a certificate of professional liability insurance at this time. 60 days or more from your arrival, your deposit is transferable to another available date. At least 50% of the total due must be paid 60 days prior to your event, at which time, we require proof of retreat insurance. The balance of the retreat fee is due 30 days before your arrival. Reservations made within 60 days of the event date must be paid in full at time of booking.
Cancelling between the booking date and 60 days prior to your arrival will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of the total retreat fee. Cancellations within 60 days of your arrival result in a cancellation fee of 100% of the retreat fee. This cancellation policy is firm, therefore please do not make travel arrangements until you’ve received your confirmations.
Trip cancellation insurance is always recommended whenever making travel plans.
